Hand Paperweight
A small icon of Viennese modernism. Cast in solid brass at the Auböck workshop in Vienna, this sculptural hand doubles as a paperweight or object of art. Its smooth form and subtle humor are unmistakably Auböck — modern, tactile, and made to bring a touch of personality to the desk or shelf.
Dimensions: 3.35 in
Material: brass cast; polished
Care: Brass naturally darkens over time. To maintain shine: Use Nevr-Dull wadding for light stains and plated surfaces. Use Autosol polishing paste for deeper tarnish. Apply with gloves, rub gently with a soft cloth, and avoid paper towels. Keep polish away from wood, leather, horn, or cane. Wipe fingerprints promptly to prevent permanent marks. In humid climates, polish more frequently.
About the Brand
Established in Vienna in the early 1900s, the Carl Auböck Workshop is one of Europe’s most enduring design studios. Now in its fourth generation, the workshop continues to produce distinctive brass, leather, and wood objects that bridge utility and art. Each piece reflects the studio’s modernist roots — intelligent, understated, and made to be lived with.
