Beatrix Dinner Plate, Set of 4
A small navy sprig sits at the center of this dinner plate, painted in the tradition of English blue-and-white china: understated botanicals on a cream ground, the kind of pattern that's shown up on tables for generations. Its name is a nod to a certain Lake District naturalist who spent her days painting what grew around her.

About the Maker
Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the historic heart of English pottery, this studio works out of the old Wedgwood factory grounds, where five generations of ceramic craft have passed through the same buildings. Rather than sticking to a single house style, they bring in outside designers and artists to shape each collection by hand, slip cast, thrown, or hand-built, depending on what the piece calls for.
