A mid-sized bowl made for aperitivo—perfect for olives, crisps, nuts, or anything worth nibbling with a drink. Made using the traditional Aptware technique, brown, blue, and white clays are layered and turned by hand to create marbled patterns inspired by the soils and skies of southern France. Each piece carries its own fluid, stone-like character.

About the Maker

This producer works exclusively with Aptware - an iconic clay ceramic technique developed in the 19th century in a small town in the South of France that creates marbleized pottery inspired by the colored soils in the region. Originally earthen tones, the colors have been expensed to include brighter hues that bring a contemporary look to this traditional approach.
