Cabeza Recipiente, Biloba
Based in Seville, Daniel Maldonado and Luciano Galán — known as The Exvotos — approach making as a way of turning everyday life into art. Their work treats the world as a kind of creative theatre, where objects become characters and form is inseparable from feeling.
Biloba is one such character. Shaped entirely by hand, she carries a distinct presence and expression, marked by the gestures of the makers and the individuality of the process. She can stand alone as a sculptural work, or be gently brought to life with greenery — an object that invites attention, imagination, and a sense of quiet drama into the home.
