Holiday Notecards

Regular Price$45

A duke once asked his court painters for the most beautiful deck of cards in the world, gilded and glowing, made less for winning hands than for holding up to the light and marveling. Centuries later, a man named Ray Johnson decided a letter didn’t need to say anything important; the envelope itself could be the whole gift. This stack of notecards from the PORTA x Pangea Winter Carnival collection believes in both: a wishing star, a vaulting acrobat, an elephant pedaling in a party hat, and a dancer greeting the snow, each one precious enough to be looked at long before it’s ever read.

About the Maker

Part Fellini fairground, part Cocteau dream, part Commedia dell’Arte, with a little Bauhaus choreography keeping time. For the 2026 holiday season, Pangea × PORTA pitches a striped tent in the snow. Pangea is painter and ceramicist Laëtitia Rouget and creative director Colombine Jubert, two friends who build whole worlds out of color, cloth, and gesture between Lisbon and Paris. Each piece in their Winter Carnival began as a spell rather than an object, then slipped into disguise: a matchbox, a notecard, a paper crown, a stocking, a flag, an advent calendar. Harlequins leap, acrobats hold their pose, and stars trail along a wandering ribbon, all of it made to come out of storage every December for years to come.
