Advent Calendar
In a small German town, a mother once stitched twenty-four little cakes onto a card so her son could eat one each December morning. He never forgot it, and grew up to print some of the first advent calendars. This PORTA x Pangea version carries the same tenderness: a small fabric house with “Joy to the World!” stitched beneath its roof, a checkerboard of numbered pockets to fill with sweets, notes, or tiny treasures, and a pink ribbon that winds through the month to a red heart on Christmas. Made to be hung again every year, a little more loved each time.

About the Maker
Part Fellini fairground, part Cocteau dream, part Commedia dell’Arte, with a little Bauhaus choreography keeping time. For the 2026 holiday season, PORTA x Pangea pitches a striped tent in the snow. Pangea is painter and ceramicist Laëtitia Rouget and creative director Colombine Jubert, two friends who build whole worlds out of color, cloth, and gesture between Lisbon and Paris. Each piece in their Winter Carnival began as a spell rather than an object, then slipped into disguise: a matchbox, a notecard, a paper crown, a stocking, a flag, an advent calendar. Harlequins leap, acrobats hold their pose, and stars trail along a wandering ribbon, all of it made to come out of storage every December for years to come.
