We’re thrilled to share that Courtney Grow is up next in our Selection Of series—an edit shaped by her signature eye for beauty, whimsy, and wonderful things. If you follow Courtney, you already know the magic she brings: a mix of classic and playful, polished and personal, all delivered with warmth, wit, and unmistakable style.
We first met when she whirled into our shop in search of treasures for her new home in storied Columbia Heights. She was full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and a real excitement to build something layered and lived-in.
Fast forward and we are co-hosting a dinner together —gathering friends who love design, fashion, good food, and a great chat.
Courtney Grow
"When we moved into our place in Brooklyn Heights, the first thing I bought was a vintage table held up by swans. I’d always been fascinated by Truman Capote’s swans, and the idea of living with a house full of women felt exactly right. It’s not precious, though. I have four kids, and our house still has to be a place a chaotic family can live and breathe every day. I like pieces that feel alive but also do their job. That’s why so many things from PORTA made their way in."
1. The Testa di Moro Head is dramatic and intriguing, the kind of woman I'd like to be at dinner with.
2. The Hugo Money Pot is fun. An exercise in restraint, but also just a beautiful thing to have sitting around, daring you.
3. The Capriccio Placemats hearken to our hand-drawn dining room walls and felt perfect. They also wipe clean, which I can't say enough good things about.
4. Then there’s the Akila Catchall, carved from alabaster. I move this one around. Sometimes it holds soap, jewelry, sometimes it serves to just look pretty on my nightstand.
5. For guests, I’ve been stocking the Diana Soaps. They’re tiny sculptures, really, and an easy host gift if you don’t end up hoarding them for yourself.
6. And finally, the Vincent Ice Bucket. Technically for ice, but I’d use it for flowers.
